I've eaten with friends and colleagues in all these restaurants in (greater) Bangkok. I'm no food expert, but I do know what I like! Many of my older reviews were also published in Japanese on newsclip.be タイ発ニュース速報. Whether you're after Thai food, or craving a Mexican taco, Japanese buffet or fish & chips, you can find it all here. (2016: I'm adding my Tripadvisor reviews here)

* A friendly WARNING: restaurants close, change and move regularly, so before you go make sure to check *

Sizzler - Seacon Square ***

“Excellent salad bar”

When I feel like a good salad, Sizzler is the place to go. The unlimited salad bar has lots of fresh raw and cooked vegetables, ready to eat salads, soups, quail eggs, some pasta, and some nice desserts (chocolate mousse!) including fruit.

In the past I've tried several of the meat dishes on the menu but didn't like any of them: the meat is too soft, and there's not much taste. The fish 'n chips are okay. Meat or fish is served with a choice of French fries or baked potato and a tasty slice of buttered thick toast. The salad bar is included too. Refill softdrinks are affordable, and a pot of tea is available.

Service is friendly, but sometimes we have to wait long for a refill. The main dish is usually slow, but of course you can delve into the salad bar right away so it's not a problem.
