I've eaten with friends and colleagues in all these restaurants in (greater) Bangkok. I'm no food expert, but I do know what I like! Many of my older reviews were also published in Japanese on newsclip.be タイ発ニュース速報. Whether you're after Thai food, or craving a Mexican taco, Japanese buffet or fish & chips, you can find it all here.

* A friendly WARNING: restaurants close, change and move regularly, so before you go make sure to check *

P'Poo (ป.ปุ๊), Bang Duan, Samut Prakan ****

kuay tiao pla
One of my regular lunch-places while I was working in the area was P'Poo's restaurant. It's located in the beautiful garden of one of the many wooden houses in the soi and sports wooden furniture and lots of green.

The food is basically simple Thai dishes with seafood, like their signature dish kuay tiao pla (noodle soup with fish), yen ta fo, khao tom (rice soup), friend rice with salty fish,
yams (spicy salads) etc. The food is excellent, but they use MSG unless you tell them not to. They also serve various freshly-made Thai traditional desserts made of coconut milk, and cheap too.

The service is friendly but slow. Prices are almost as low as street food.
