I've eaten with friends and colleagues in all these restaurants in (greater) Bangkok. I'm no food expert, but I do know what I like! Many of my older reviews were also published in Japanese on newsclip.be タイ発ニュース速報. Whether you're after Thai food, or craving a Mexican taco, Japanese buffet or fish & chips, you can find it all here.

* A friendly WARNING: restaurants close, change and move regularly, so before you go make sure to check *

P'Jook ***

tom yam seafood
P'Jook, located in an old shop house a few hundred meters in the soi,  is a very popular place in the neighbourhood. Not an atmospheric place to sit though with its metal tables, ventilators and devoid of any decoration except for a shrine for their Thai-Chinese gods and ancestors.

However, the food justifies a visit or a take-away. It's made to order, so they can make whatever you fancy as long as
they have the ingredients. I've eaten there a few times, and had take-aways often, and the food is always good and freshly made. I've had for example an excellent tom yam seafood, fried squid, and various fried vegetable dishes, and their yam het (mushroom salad) is delicious.

The service is unfriendly, but they're fast and professional. Prices are very reasonable, just a bit over streetfood prices.
