Our group of 7 visited the Surawong branch, which judging by the queue waiting outside (it was a Saturday!) very popular with locals as well as foreign visitors.

Ha Dao @ Sukhumvit 101 (ห้าดาว)

Star full.svgStar full.svgStar half.svgStar empty.svgStar empty.svg This franchise restaurant serves khao man kay (chicken on rice) and other chicken dishes. The branch is new but the "Ha Dao" ("five stars") chain has been around for over 25 years.

The place is non-airconditioned but light and clean, and photos of their dishes decorate the walls. The simple furniture includes tables decked out with their own trademark plastic tablecloth and the booth in the front shows all the food to be had.
