Doo Dee Siam (ดู๋ดี๋สยาม)

The place was forced to temporarily move from Siam Square soi 4 to soi 7 after the red shirts burnt the nearby Siam theatre last year, but will move back once the rebuilding has completed.

Isan Kan Eeng (อิสานกันเอง)

Star full.svgStar full.svgStar full.svgStar half.svgStar empty.svg Late at night I met some of my friends for a meal at this traditional, family-run Thai (Isan) restaurant. It's outside, with a roof covering only part of the tables. Tables and benches are made of wood, there are lots of trees and plants giving it a countryside atmosphere.

We ordered standard Isan fare like kay yaang (grilled chicken), som tam khay kem (papaya salad with salted egg), kho moo yaang (grilled pork neck), tom saeb (herbal beef soup) and laab ped (minced duck meat). The food tasted delicious!

The place is not only popular with locals, but also with Chinese tourists staying

Laap Paak (ลาภปาก)
